This is a blog about a photographer, that's me Stephanie Stamos-Hoyle who is shooting pettiskirts for a large manufacturing company. The photos are more than children's fashion wear. I am attempting to recreate famous children stories using pettiskirts. I also has a pettiskirt store and a photography studio..www.clairebearwear.com / www.stamosfineart.com..always feel free to check them out!

Alice in Wonderland!
This is the big shoot I was planning for a long time. It was so crazy... 8 little girls (dressed in expensive clothing) with one Mom and a paid teenager to carry out a huge table, camera gear, a box of china, a half eaten cake and eight chairs into the woods. The results are fun! I think my crazy idea of recreating Tim Burtons version of Alice really paid off. Here's the first photo

Little House on the Prairie-My Little Laura Ingalls!
I took these on a prairie and I love the vintage feeling of them. It was so muddy that day. We had mud all over us!! Look at the bottom of her boots. I love what little things like that can do to a photograph

The Pettiskirt!
copyright © 2011 Stephanie Stamos-Hoyle
I have been given the job by the world's largest pettiskirt manufacturer to photograph their skirts. I was sent 79 skirts to start. My background is in Fine Art and I tend to get bored with the same old children's fashion pictures. We just moved to a new area and I am discovering so many new places to shoot. I came up with the idea to make the photos look like they come from a movie or a children's story. I thought it might be fun to write a blog and show the work. The first photos I did were just really pretty photos but then I got the idea to start making the photos tell more of a story. This is my take on the little red riding hood story using the gorgeous red pettiskirt.
